Local Ministries

Church on Ingestre runs and/or supports a wide range of ministries, which we've listed alphabetically below.

Ako Tahi is an innovative Te Reo Māori program for preschoolers (0-5 years old) and their caregivers. The program runs every Friday from 10am (excl. holidays).
On the fourth Saturday of every second month, we host a Board Games night that's open to the whole community. Can you conquer the tabletop? Come along!
Our church is a food collection point for the local City Mission Whanganui. We also have a segment in our Sunday morning services where our children bring our community offering to the stage, which teaches our children the importance of charity within our church and wider community.
Embrace is our Ladies' Ministry, run by women for women. Every year the ladies gather for a Big Day Out, with other smaller events through the year.
On the second Sunday afternoon of every second month, our Quizmaster presents us with life's hardest questions. Every Quiz features different prizes and often the Quizmaster will add a 'twist' - a special round, or theme. Gather into a team of six, or come by yourself and be assigned a team.

At True Vine, kids dive into the Bible in fun and meaningful ways! With two age groups - Explorers (5–7 years old) and Investigators (8–12 years old), we bring Scripture to life through games, crafts, and hands-on activities. The program runs each Sunday after communion and takes a break during school holidays. It’s a space where kids grow in faith, build friendships, and discover God’s truth for themselves.
Young Creatives.jpg
One of our newest initiatives, Young Creatives aims to encourage creativity within our community and provide a space for artistic young adults to thrive within our church.

There is a Young Creatives exhibition by the Campbell St. / Carpark door. Click the button below if you'd like to join the group or exhibit your own piece - there is no age limit!
